Great Aunt Nature Walker

One day Great Aunt Nature Walker heard Lucy wanted to be a Nature Walker when she grew up. So Great Aunt Nature  Walker called up Lucy on her banana phone and said,

“Hey, do you want to go for a walk?” Lucy said yes. And Great Aunt Nature Walker was very happy.

Very Hard Trail

But Lucy and Great Aunt Nature Walker did not want to go without Hannah. Except Hannah was very little and could not walk on the the very hard and long trail. Great Aunt Nature Walker knew just what to do. “We will talk to the Banana Slug,” she said. So they went to the log where the Banana Slug lived.

“Ho HO!” said the Banana Slug to Great Aunt Nature Walker, “no  problem. You called Lucy on the banana phone, so I can help you with my forest magic.”

Lucy didn’t think the Banana Slug could help because he was only 4 inches long and had only tiny black dots for eyes. But the Banana Slug had little antenna on his head and used them to get in touch with the Forest Fairies. Then Lo and Behold, Hannah came floating in on the forest air with little fairy wings. So now she could float and didn’t have to walk. 

Everyone thanked the Banana Slug and went off with the fairies to see their house. It was like a little cave in a big tree.

Then a magic thing happened when they got up close and touched the magic fairy fern at the opening. They could feel the air all around smell very nice and clean like just after you take a bath.

"Now we have the Forest Fairy Magic," said Great Aunt Nature Walker.

“What is Forest Fairy Magic?” asked Lucy.

 Suddenly, there was something like a snow of light down through the tall green trees. It turned everything very quiet. And the Forest said with soft words of wind, “Now you are magic. And you can see with Magic Eyes. For example, many people think tree bark is brown. But now you can see many colors in it.”

Lucy and Hannah looked and thought the tree bark was very beautiful. 

The tree was very old. “I am called Big Spruce,” It said. "I was already a big tree when Great Aunt Nature Walker was born. I grow tall eating rain and sun with lovely treats of fog.”

Then telling them of more magic, the Forest said, “you can see that in the forest, trees never die. Even when they fall over.”

Then Great Aunt Nature Walker showed Lucy and Hannah a tree that fell over on its side. Its roots were sticking up. But little trees were growing out of it. 

“In many many years,” said the Forest, “the little trees will be like the big trees. When a tree falls over and then lies like a log and helps little trees grow, it is called a Nurse Log.” 

Then Lucy and Hannah were getting a little bit scared because the trees were so big and they felt close in and little.    

But Great Aunt Nature Walker sat down by the Big Big Spruce Tree and said, “Look, Big Spruce loves it when you lean against her.”

And Lucy and Hannah touched the tree, and it touched them back and was very kind. Then they met the Sword Ferns.

Lucy said, “Oh My, will the Sword Ferns cut us like a sword?”

“Oh no,” said Great Aunt Nature Walker, “see how friendly they are.

Then Great Aunt Nature Walker said, “I have a very huge treat for you. And Lucy and Hannah looked, and they saw a Forest Bridge and a Tunnel.

“This is where the Forest Elves live,” said Great Aunt Nature Walker.

Lucy and Hannah were very excited. “Where are the elves?” they asked.

Great Aunt Nature Walker laughed and said, “Elves are very tricky and magical, so you just have to wait to see what they will do.”

“And then Lucy and Hannah felt something tickle them from behind. They looked but saw only green plants moving.”

“Elves!” exclaimed Great Aunt Nature Walker. And they all laughed.

Bridge for Human People

So then Lucy and Hannah were not afraid of the tall forest. And they crossed a bridge for Human People into the world of True Magic.

Rachel, Matt, and Soren

There they met Great Aunt Nature Walker’s friends, Rachel and Matt  Kelly with their little son Soren. And Lucy and Hannah suddenly felt very sad because their Mommy and Daddy weren’t there.

But then down the trail came a man wearing a jacket with the name PITT. His name was Naga. Pitt was where their Mommy and Daddy went to school to learn things and become smart. So then Lucy and Hannah knew they had come here with Great Aunt Nature Walker to learn about Forest Magic. 

Then, the Forest said to them, “Thank you for seeing My Magic. And Congratulations. You are now Official Nature Walkers and ready for your Nature Walking Names." Then the Forest said to Lucy, "Your Nature Walking Name is Elf Princess of the Magical Mind.” And the Forest said to Hannah, “You are now Little Princess of the Magical Fairy Wings.”

And with that, they came out of the forest to Great Aunt Nature Walker’s silver car. Suddenly, Lucy and Hannah were sad because they didn’t want to leave the magic. But Great Aunt Nature Walker said, “Don’t be sad. You will now have the magic of the Forest in your hearts forever.” 

THE END. Which is just the beginning of the Magic!!!!
